About

Hi, I'm Holly

Hi, I'm Holly Gibson. Hollyhocks Gift Baskets falls under the umbrella of my Etsy store, Hollyhocks Creations, and it's based in Ashburn, Georgia.

I made gift baskets several years ago, not to make money but I loved doing them to give away. I made one for my sweet friend for her 92 birthday. I called it “Pamper Yourself”. It was full of lotion, hand cream, foot cream, flavored chapstick. She loved it! She told me everybody gave her crap that was clutter that she didn’t want to have to deal with. Mine was the only one with something just for her. After several gifts, I decided to expand and do dropship. I then hated doing gift baskets that way, so I stopped. Now, I’ve rediscovered the joy of making them. Now, my samples, I’ve planned them out with my friends & in mind if they don’t sell. I’ve loved learning how to make them stand out in a crowded field of gift baskets. I’ve learned how to treat it like a business & not a hobby, even if I plan on just a holiday business.

Every basket starts with my questionnaire, which tells me who it's for. I hand pick everything that goes in, whether you choose Just a Little Something, Something Special or Something Spectacular. Each one is custom, gift wrapped, and comes with a hand-written note. The basket is reusable, and I can make it allergy-friendly. I make these for the giver who wants the recipient to open it and think, Oh! This is for ME.
